DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Peppers:

Slice peppers in half and remove seeds / Parboil for 10 mins.

Place peppers in water, when the water starts to boil start your ten minutes.

Using a 13 x 9 glass baking dish, lightly coat bottom with olive oil.

Place the parboiled peppers in this prepared dish to cool for 10 minutes.

Meat:

Place 90/10 ground sirloin in bowl and add these ingredients to taste:

Garlic and onion powders, basil and oregano.

Lightly fold in the ingredients.

Bread crumbs and salt were omitted to keep carbs low and be blood pressure friendly.

Next separate into 6 even meatballs.

Place the meatballs into the peppers and squish to fill.

Add your favorite sauce for topping and sprinkle with grated cheese.

Cover with foil.

Place in oven on the center rack and bake for 45 minutes. The last 10 mins. should be without foil. Remove from oven when meat temp reaches 160 degrees.
